Good evening! Tonight I explore two British blonde beers, one from Cornwall and one from Wales, similar in style but achieving different results
So first up or thirst up is St Austell Brewery’s Proper Job IPA at 5.5%
And next up is Welsh SA Gold 4.7% from Brains of Cardiff, a well structured and refreshing ale
I am not going to compare these two ales, they both offer much joy and should be explored on their own individual merits — you might also try Adnams Ghost Ship and Badgers Golden Champion or even the highly individual Citra from Oakham
Try all you can and then get out & about to support cask ale in your countryside pubs, they appreciate your custom & this is a great way to fight against corporate Britain, vote for small local producers ππ»
